RollerGirls back on their wheels

It's not confirmed yet, but there's a chance tonight's roller derby could become a woodchoppers ball. But that's only if Sistah Viberosis brings her chainsaw.

It's not confirmed yet, but there's a chance tonight's roller derby could become a woodchoppers ball.

But that's only if Sistah Viberosis brings her chainsaw.

In mid-August, the Rated PG RollerGirls suited up for a bout against the Lake City Derby Girls of Williams Lake and Viberosis, a veteran Prince George blocker, raised the intimidation factor to the roof when she skated out onto the floor holding a running chainsaw.

That tactic had the desired effect. The Rated PG gals cruised to a 172-117 victory.

Saturday's Skatefest Black versus White bout at 6:30 p.m. will follow a two-hour skills clinic from 10 a.m. - noon. Players from Edmonton, Fort St. John, Enderby, Terrace, Williams Lake have been invited to join forces with 10 Prince George players.

See Saturday's Citizen for more.
