After six weeks in the CFL picks game:
Ted Clarke 1-1 last week; 12-6 overall
Peter James 1-1 last week; 16-6 overall
Sheri Lamb 1-1 last week; 13-9 overall
Mark Nielsen 1-1 last week; 12-6 overall
Bye weeks with B.C., Edmonton, Hamilton and Winnipeg off.
Argonauts (3-2) at Alouettes (2-3)
Tonight (4:30 p.m., TSN)
Clarke - Argos are starting to regain some of their championship swagger but Als will find a way to win one for coach Popp. Pick: Alouettes by one.
James - The firing of Dan Hawkins was addition by subtraction for the Alouettes, but Jamal Richardson's injury is a genuine loss. Pick: Argonauts by six.
Lamb - The coaching change doesn't help the Alouettes this week as the Argonauts win their second straight on the road. Pick: Argos by six.
Nielsen - Suddenly the Argonauts are a force to be reckoned with, while the Alouettes will go back to what made them successful as Jim Popp takes over as head coach. It will be close, but the book is out on the Alouettes while the Argonauts new-look defence will continue to pay dividends. Pick: Argos by three.
Roughriders (5-0) at Stampeders (4-1)
Friday (6 p.m., TSN)
Clarke - Stamps have the horses to buck Riders from perfection. Pick: Stampeders by three.
James - The Stampeders might have to use all three of their quarterbacks to get the job done, but they'll put an end to the Roughriders' perfect season. Pick: Stamps by three.
Lamb - A battle for first-place in the West - if the Stampeders want a chance for home field advantage in the playoffs they have to reel in the Riders. Pick: Stamps by three.
Nielsen - My bold prediction is this will be a great game (as will Toronto/Montreal). The coin flip says Stampeders by a field goal. Pick: Stamps by three.
