It ain't over till it's over.
The Queensway Auto World Red Sox realized that Wednesday night in Game 2 of the Prince George Senior Baseball Association final and scored seven runs in the seventh and final inning to go home with an 8-5 win over the Shooters Gladiators.
Trailing 5-1 and down to their last two outs, The Red Sox scored three runs off Gladiators starting pitcher Ryan Yorston when he gave up a single to Buck Schmidt. Yorston then walked Jason McCarron and was replaced by Tyler Rohcon, who walked Evan Potskin and struck out Brandon Creyke.
With the bases loaded, Rohcon walked Marcel Belanger and Amanda Asay, which gave the Red Sox a 6-5 lead. Jeremy Kral's basehit added two more runs before the Gladiators could take their fin al swings.
Paul Wilson allowed a single to Rohcon in the bottom of the seventh and issued a two-out walk to Calvin Todd but the Red Sox lead was never threatened. Wilson went the distance, giving up eight hits and walking four, with six strikeouts.
The Gladiators scored two runs in each of the third and fourth innings and added another in the sixth.
Game 3 of the best-of-five series is set for tonight (6:30 start) at Citizen Field. The Sox, who took Game 1 by a 1-0 count, can wrap up the championship with a victory. Games 4 and 5, if needed, would be played Friday and Saturday.
