Cory and Daryl Rasmussen proved they still know the fast way around a short track speed skating rink.

The two brothers from Prince George, who made their names on the national scene as members of the Prince George Blizzard Speed Skating Club, won their respective age categories at the Winter World Masters Games which wrapped up Wednesday in Quebec City.

Cory won the 30-34-year-old age class and his older brother Daryl was tops in the 35-39-year-old men's class and finished first and second overall respectively in the competition.

Cory captured first place in the first 1,500-metre final (2:40.414), the 500m (45.016) and the second 1,500 (2:57.523) and also placed second in the 1,000m (1:40.87).

Daryl captured gold in the 1,00m final (1:40.763) and ended up second in both 1,500m finals (2:40.879 and 2:57.700). He also placed second in the 500m (45.241).

Serge Morin of Argentina and Darius Eshete of Australia were second and third respectively in the men's 3-34-year-old class. Mark Roop of Calgary won silver and Batbayar Tsend-Ayush of Mongolia was the bronze medalist in the men's 35-39-year-old class.
