The West Fraser Centre in Quesnel will host two regular season games between the Cowichan Valley Capitals and Victoria Grizzlies when the BCHL Road Show comes to Quesnel Nov. 24-26.

The third annual B.C. Hockey League Road Show is coming to Quesnel.

The three-day event, in partnership with the Lhtako Dene Nation, is set for Nov. 24-26 at the 1,300-seat West Fraser Centre, featuring the Cowichan Valley Capitals against the Victoria Grizzlies in back-to back regular season games.

The Grizzlies will be the home team for the game Saturday, Nov. 25 at 7 p.m. and the Capitals will get their chance to line up on the home side in the rematch Sunday, Nov. 27 at noon.

“We can’t wait to bring the Road Show to the great people of Quesnel next month,” said BCHL commissioner Steven Cocker.

“The community is already familiar with BCHL hockey, having had the Millionaires as part of the league in the past, but we are excited to show them how our league has grown since then.”

The Quesnel Millionaires played 15 seasons in the BCHL, from 1996-2011, until the franchise was sold and moved to Chilliwack to become the Chiefs.

During the Road Show the teams get together to teach their skills to minor hockey players and coaches and they engage in school visits.

The Prince George Spruce Kings were part of the previous two BCHL Road Shows, held in 2020 in Kitimat and in 2022 in Burns Lake.
