Provincials over for Wigmore rink

Wigmore lost his third game, 6-4 to Bob Gallaugher of Duncan on Saturday to finish the tournament at 0-3.

Gallaugher then defeated Bernie Sparkes of Chilliwack in a tiebreaker to advance to Sunday's semifinal round, where he lost 7-4 to Blake Kimura of Vernon. Garry Gelowitz of Kelowna knocked off Ralph Will of Sparwood in the other semifinal and went on to claim the provincial title with a 6-5 win over Kimura. Gelowitz scored two in the eighth and final end to qualify for the Canadian men's masters championship in Saint John, N.B., March 28-April 2.

n The PGGCC will host the 84th annual Kelly Cup Prince George men's bonspiel, March 25-28. There is a limit of 64 teams. For more information call 250-563-0357 or email geof@pggolfandcurling.com. The deadline to enter is March 22. Cost is $300 per team.
