Hunter McCarthy of the Prince George Wrestling Club won a silver medal in the U15 68 kg Greco Roman division at the 2022 Canadian Wrestling Championships in Tsuut'ina Nationa, Alberta, over the weekend.
McCarthy defeated bronze medallist Ketan Mahil of Surrey before falling to Antonio Iannidinardo of Cowichan Valley in the final.
Amy Giesbrecht placed fourth in the U15 66 kg freestyle division while Zack Giesbrecht placed sixth in the U17 55 kg freestyle division.
