The weight of the city is resting on their shoulders.
There are bragging rights on the line this weekend in Calgary at the Global Powerlifting Committee national/Canadian Powerlifting Federation powerlifting championships and Jay Cook, Mike Webber and Tony Tomra will try to do everything in their power to take on that burden.
All three Xconditioning gym members are going after titles in their respective weight classes in the squat, bench press and dead lift power categories.
The two-day event wraps up Sunday.
