Nobody could knock the Prince George Posse off stride at the minor box lacrosse provincial championships.
At the tournament, which concluded Sunday in Burnaby, the Posse ran to a perfect 6-0 record in the midget B division. In Sunday's final, Prince George took on Oceanside of Vancouver Island and won 5-3.
In its other games, the Posse beat Burnaby 5-1, ripped Ridge Meadows 11-4, edged Penticton 8-7, defeated Oceanside 7-2 and topped Cowichan Valley 6-3.
Members of the Posse are Jake Nohr, Fischer O'Brien, Jackson Parrish, Connor Dionne, Jaydon Merritt, Daniel Sturgeon, Konnor McIntosh, Liam Froese, Devin Porter, Grayson Pement, Tanner Turcotte, Logan Forman, Mathew Letoria, Thomas Ginter, Marshall Schonewille, Griffin Gouger-Davis and Riley Stevens. Head coach Blake McIntosh is assisted by Tom Esopenko and Doug Schonewille.
Last year, the team finished with a silver medal at provincials.
The current edition of the Posse played against A2-level competition for much of the season and got progressively better. The team started with a fifth-place tournament result, finished fourth in its next event and then posted a second-place finish before it won the B-division crown at the prestigious Canada Day tournament in Calgary.
