A history-making season for the PGSS Polars came to an end Saturday in Chilliwack.

The Polars junior varsity football team lost a second-round playoff game 28-8 to the G.W. Graham Grizzlies in the double-A high school division. For PGSS, the highlight of the quarterfinal contest was a 70-yard kickoff return for a touchdown by Isaac Rogers.

Earlier this month, PGSS became the first-ever Northern Conference team to advance past the first round of playoffs when it blasted the Kamloops Titans 53-0.

The Polars, P.G. Bowl champions at the junior level, ended the season with just the one loss. Offensively, they were led by Rogers. From his running back position, he finished the regular season as the third-ranked rusher in the province.
