Tyrell Laing was a one-man wrecking crew making life miserable for the Kelly Road Roadrunners.
Laing scored 53 points to lead the Prince George Polars to a 94-72 win over the Roadrunners in a City League high school basketball semifinal Wednesday at PGSS.
With the win, PGSS advances to next week's City League final against the D.P. Todd Trojans, who defeated the Duchess Park Condors 94-21 in the other senior boys semifinal Wednesday night at D.P. Todd.
The final will be played Wednesday at 8 p.m. at the Charles Jago Northern Sport Centre.
In senior girls action Wednesday, also at PGSS, the Cedars Christian Eagles went home with a 76-55 win over the Polars to move on to the final against Duchess Park. The Condors knocked off the College Heights Cougars 81-42 in their semifinal Monday night.
The Condors and Eagles will play for the City League title Wednesday at 6 p.m., also at the Northern Sport Centre.
