Polars earn most sportsmanlike at provincials

Both North Central zone teams were voted most sportsmanlike teams in their respective tournaments.

The Polars went 1-3 at the quad-A boys championship, losing their final game Saturday 98-74 to North Vancouver. Details of that game were not available. Yale went on to defeat Terry Fox 69-63 in the quad-A championship game.

Nechako Valley, the double-A zone champions from Vanderhoof, carried 0-3 record at the provincial tournament into a consolation round game Saturday. The Vikings' final opponent and results of that game were not available on the tournament website.

St. Michaels of Victoria defeated Delview of Delta 66-40 Saturday for the double-A championship.

In other provincial final results, also in Langley, Fleetwood Park of Surrey beat Charles Tepper of Vancouver 73-65 for the triple-A title, while in the single-A tournament, Kelowna Christian topped Immaculata of Kelowna 59-46.
