The peewee Pirates are champions of the Prince George Youth Baseball Association.

To get their mitts on the trophy, they had to defeat the regular season-champion Mets in the playoff final Tuesday night at Gyro Field.

Pirates hitters Bailey McFaul and Matt Knight used their bats to club a couple out of the park, and Knight provided some lights-out pitching in a 13-6 win.

The 11 male, one female Pirates team is coached by Darren Warn and includes: McFaul, Knight, Caylee Lazar, Grayson Wagner, Dylan Lukinchuk, Landon Altmyer, Jacob Christianson, Brody Barber, Tanner Riplinger, Sean Kilburn, Hayden Thorpe, and William Bonekamp.
