PGYSA U16 girls A-OK

Four teams in British Columbia still have a chance to win the provincial championship at the A level and the PGYSA under-16 Kodiaks girls squad is one of them.

The Kodiaks won the Interior division title with a two-game sweep of the Kamloops Blaze on the weekend. Prince George took the first game 3-1 and then won Sunday's final game 4-1.

Kenzie Lamothe was superb in the Kodiaks' net in both games, just as the first-year keeper has been all season.

The Kodiaks are on a five-game win streak with their two victories in Kamloops, combined with three wins at the Edmonton Summer Sizzler the previous weekend over teams. Lamothe was perfect at the tournament recording three shutouts.

Langley is host to the provincial A championship July 4-7.
