Tryouts for rep hockey teams are just around the corner.
Boys interested in playing peewee (11-12) or bantam (13-14) rep hockey next season can tryout Aug. 26-29 and Sept. 3-8. Midget boys and girls (15-17) will hold tryouts starting Sept. 3. Each player will have a guaranteed four ice times, with goaltenders receiving an addition session. Tryout rosters will be posted two weeks before the start of the session.
Final registrations will be accepted at the Prince George Minor Hockey Association office Aug. 20-24 between noon and 5 p.m.
Training camp for players interested in trying out for the Cariboo Cougars major midget program will be held Aug. 8-11 and is open to midget players born in 1996, 1997 and 1998. The deadline to register is July 31.
Midget-aged girls interested in playing for the Northern Cougars triple-A zone team will have tryouts at the Elksentre on Aug. 10-11. On Aug. 10 tryout sessions are between 12:30-2 p.m. and 5:30-7:15 p.m., while the Aug. 11 session will be at 12:30-2:30 p.m.
All players must be registered before stepping onto the ice. Registration forms can be printed off from the PGMHA website and mailed with payment to Box 2242 Prince George, BC V2N 2J8.
