The Super Trucks are returning to Prince George this weekend.

The Super Truck Racing Series will be in town for the season-opener Saturday at the Prince George Auto Racing Association's race track.

The late-model series trucks are similar to a late-model race car with full-blown engines and 15-inch tires.

The Super Trucks made their first-ever appearance in Prince George in 2014 to open PGARA's season. Wade Lee of Calgary took the checkered flag.

Besides Super Trucks, opening night includes the Inland Kenworth hornets, Chieftain Auto Parts mini stocks and Richmond Steel street stocks all racing for double points and $1,000 in prize money in the White Spruce Enterprise 100 presented by Mr. Quick Lube & Oil.

Saturday night, qualifying begins at 6 p.m. followed by racing at 7 p.m.
