P.G. gymnastics medal in Kamloops

The Prince George Gymnastics Club scored 11 medals at the B.C. Artistic Gymnastics Championship last weekend in Kamloops. Miranda Doerksen earned gold on the floor and vault to secure a bronze place finish all-around in the Level 3 Open 1998+.

Miranda Doerksen earned gold on the floor and vault to secure a bronze place finish all-around in the Level 3 Open 1998+.

Alia Wilson competed in Level 4 Tyro and captured gold on the bars and two bronze medals on the floor and all-around. Wilson qualified third out of 10 to represent B.C. at the Western Canadian championships in Saskatoon April 24-26.

Naara Little grabbed silver on the floor in Level 3 Novice.

Four gymnasts won individual bronze medals.

Sydney Hamilton captured bronze on the bars in Level 2 Tyro; Makenna Parker on the vault in Level 3 Novice; Rhiana Palfy on the floor in Level 3 Open 1999; and Reid Powers on the beam in Level 3 Open 1999 (beam).

Amy Hackle split her time between the B.C. Artistic championship ant the 2nd B.C. Cup in Trampoline. She won bronze in Level 2 14+ W Trampoline and was 10th in Level 1, 13+W double mini trampoline.

Hackle's trampoline teammates from Prince George also found success in Kamloops.

Isaiah Lui won gold in Level 2, 14+M trampoline and gold in Level 1, 13+ double mini trampoline.

Ben Garcia won bronze in Level 2, 14+M trampoline, while Caroline Kinnee won gold in Level 1, 13+W trampoline.

Brook-Lynn Kinnee won silver in Level 2, 14+W Trampoline, bronze on Level 2 14+W Double Mini trampoline and silver in Level 2, 14+W Tumbling.
