When it came down to the wire, Hayden Holmes and Chris Metcalfe held the hot sticks.
Holmes, the captain, and Metcalfe led the Prince George Western Record Management peewee Canadiens with 11 and 10 points respectively on the way to a gold medal in boys hockey at the Northern B.C. Winter Games. The massive sporting event was held in Prince Rupert on the weekend.
Prince George defeated Fort St. John 6-1 in the final, capping off an undefeated tournament.
