Ayden Baldo of the Kitimat Winterhawks dives to get to the puck before Zachary Fillion of the Premium Truck & Trailer Cougars during a Friday game at the Up the Creek Garment Company peewee Tier 2 tournament. The Cougars went on to an 8-2 win. Brenden Gaboury scored twice, Nic Braaten had a goal and three assists, and Fillion, Jacob Ross, Logan Jones, Jerome Erickson and Gavin Vaillancourt also scored for the Cougars. Lucas Aiken collected both Kitimat goals.
Later Friday, the Cougars defeated Dawson Creek 7-4.
The Cougars have two games today - they face Quesnel at 9 a.m. at Kin 1, then take on Williams Lake at 4 p.m. at Kin 2. On Sunday the Cougars are matched with Terrace at 8:45 a.m. at Kin 2. The top two teams after round-robin play meet in the final Sunday at 2 p.m. at Kin 2.
