Paralympian's husband shines at Iceman

Three-time champion Jody Barber wasn't part of the 23rd annual Prince George Citizen Iceman and that's understandable.

She's resting at home in Smithers for the 2010 Paralympic Games next month in Vancouver-Whistler after winning a silver medal in biathlon and a bronze medal in cross-country skiing two weeks ago in France.

But her family did not go without representation in Sunday's Iceman. Barber's husband Larry McCulloch made his presence known with a silver-medal finish in the veteran men's category. He took his wife's advice to help him to a time of two hours four minutes 26 seconds in the ski-run-skate-run-swim event, second only to Richard Harrison of Smithers (1:59:45) in the veteran (50-and-older) class.
