Meryeta O'Dine was crowned queen of the slopes once again Friday at Tabor Mountain Ski Resort.

Racing an international field in the fourth North American Cup snowboardcross race of the week at Tabor, the 18-year-old from Prince George won all four of her elimination heat races to win gold for the second straight day.

In the women's final Friday, O'Dine took advantage of a slight stumble from NorAm points leader Carle Brennaman of Comox to grab the lead midway through the course and had an unobstructed view the rest of the way down into the final jump and finish line.

"I had a really bad start, I guess the nerve got to me in the start and I was really close to Carle when she made a mistake going over one of the doubles and I passed her," said O'Dine. "Over the rollers she kind of caught her toes going over it and she lost quite a bit of speed and got to carry my speed through it."

Brennaman finished second, ahead of third-place Georgia Baff of Canberra, Australia and Taylor Wilton of Collingwood, Ont, who was fourth.

It was a near-perfect week for O'Dine. In addition to her two gold medal results, O'Dine won the women's silver medal on Sunday, after a fourth-place finish Saturday. O'Dine is now close to 60 points ahead of Brennaman in the NorAm points race.

"It was definitely a good couple races and it was lots of fun with the girls who were here who can push you," said O'Dine.

"Racing is always fun when other girls are pushing you and it's clean racing."

The four NorAm races were the first test of the Tabor snowboardcross course since O'Dine and Evan Bichon of Prince George won gold at the 2015 Canada Winter Games.

"We got hit with almost every condition - snow, wind and rain - and we had a gorgeous sunny day. It was a bit of everything, and the track withstood it all. It held together really well (on Friday)."

Bobby Minghini of Snowshoe, West Virginia, was a repeat winner in the men's big final. He got the hole shot and held off Jake Vedder of Pinkney, Mich., and Karel van Goor of The Netherlands, the respective silver and bronze medalists, in the sprint for the finish. Cole Johnson of Squaw Valley, Calif., was fourth.

In other local results, Bichon finished ninth Friday, after a 14th-place result on Thursday. Bichon, 17, won the men's small final on Saturday.

The NorAm circuit resumes with racing Feb. 17-21 in Cooper, Colo.

O'Dine will be in PyeongChang, South Korea at a World Cup event on the 2018 Olympic course when she celebrates her 19th birthday on Feb. 24.
