Ontario and Nova Scotia were the top two rinks all week in the round-robin, posting 6-0 and 5-0 records respectively in their pools to earn byes into the semifinals.

Nova Scotia edged New Brunswick 7-6 in Friday's semifinal, while Ontario defeated Saskatchewan 8-3 in the other semi.

In the all-Maritimes battle between Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, Nova Scotia skip Mary Fay drew to the back of the eight-foot for the win in the 10th end.

Nova Scotia's Fay is backed by third Jennifer Smith, second Karlee Burgess and lead Janique LeBlanc.

New Brunswick is skipped by Justine Comeau and includes third Emma LeBlanc, second Brigitte Comeau and lead Keira McLaughlin.

Nova Scotia opened with a single in the first end with hammer, stole another in the second end and two more in the third when Comeau's attempted double left a Nova Scotia stone in the four-foot for a 4-0 lead.

Comeau drew for one in the fourth end and stole one in the fifth to narrow Nova Scotia's lead to 4-2 at the fifth-end break.

With New Brunswick sitting one in the sixth end, Fay's draw attempt to the button was light and New Brunswick stole a single to trail 4-3.

Fay's attempted take-out in the seventh resulted in another steal of one for New Brunswick to tie the game at 4-4.

In the eighth, Fay drew to the four-foot for a deuce and a 6-4 lead.

New Brunswick tied the game at 6-6 when Comeau was successful on a takeout to score a deuce.
