Seven ski racers from the Caledonia Nordic Ski Club are entered in today's classic mass start races, the final day of competition at the Haywood national cross-country ski championships in Corner Brook, Nfld.
Caledonia club coach Andrew Casey will have his hands full this morning waxing skis for his Prince George skiers. In the junior men's 30-kilometre race, Will Andal of Prince George in among a group of 33 skiers, while Sarah Beaudry of Prince George is among 22 skiers entered in the junior women's 20 km event.
Emily Dickson, who won gold in the 10 km freestyle on Monday, is entered in today's junior girls 7.5 km race, along with her Caledonia clubmates Erika Kreitz and Pippa Roots and 51 other competitors. Kaia Andal, who the silver medal in the five km free event Monday, and Sage Bialuski of Caledonia are among 61 juvenile girls entered in today's 7.5 km classic race.
There were no national races on the Blow Me Down trails on Friday.
