They were untouchable in their first three games. In their last three, the Prince George Roga Contracting Knights couldn't find the path to victory and settled for fourth place at provincials.

The Knights, a team of nine- and 10-year-olds that competes in B.C. Minor Baseball's mosquito division, had a chance for bronze Sunday in Rutland but lost 11-1 to the host team. Earlier Sunday, in the semifinal round, the Knights fell 11-3 to Burnaby.

"We just kinda ran out of gas," said Knights head coach Jason Schwing. "The boys tried very hard and we know we can play with any team here. We would love to have another shot at playing Burnaby and Rutland. Those are good teams but we know they're teams we can outplay."

-- At the peewee provincials in Kelowna, the Knights posted a 1-3 record and missed playoffs. Prince George opened with a 10-5 loss to West Kelowna, fell 7-1 to Newton, beat Victoria 8-4 and lost 13-3 to Cloverdale
