The Northland Dodge Northern Cougars tamed the Kootenay Wildcats 3-0 Friday in the first game of the inaugural FV Phantom female midget AAA hockey tournament in Langley.
Forwards Jocelyn Forrest and Marissa Nichol and defenceman Grace Barlow notched the goals for the Cougars.
The six-team tournament is being hosted by the Fraser Valley Phantom.
The Cougars battle the St. Albert Splash and the Sherwood Park Fury today.
