Midget Cougars head to Langley

Six members of the Prince George female midget Cougars team are headed to Langley this weekend for the B.C. major midget female hockey all-star weekend.

Six members of the Prince George female midget Cougars team are headed to Langley this weekend for the B.C. major midget female hockey all-star weekend.

Each of the five teams in the league will play four league games at the Langley Recreation Centre from Dec. 17 to 19 with the players selected as all-stars playing another game Saturday at 6:45 p.m.

Taya Garneau, Kyanna Prazma, Kelly Williams and Kelly Shawara are the Cougars' forwards selected to play in the all-star game, while defencemen Linda Jensen and Carly Bursey will also take part.

Shawara lead the Cougars with 12 points in 12 games, while Jensen has seven points in 12 games.
