McMaster the man in Hart Half

In the Hart Half/Run for Rural Medicine, Ryan McMaster proved he was in perfect health. McMaster ran the half-marathon course in the Hart Highlands area of the city in a winning time of one hour 24 minutes 57 seconds.

In the Hart Half/Run for Rural Medicine, Ryan McMaster proved he was in perfect health.

McMaster ran the half-marathon course in the Hart Highlands area of the city in a winning time of one hour 24 minutes 57 seconds. In the race, held Sunday, he beat Chris Pendray (1:27:51) and Steve Matyas (1:28:16) across the finish line.

In the women's half marathon, Kristina Anderson had the fleetest feet. She finished in a time of 1:47:40, well ahead of Marika Dreyer (1:51:20) and Nancy Pilon (1:57:28).

Other division winners included: Emma Balazs, women's 5km, 19:45; Michael Butler, men's 5km, 17:28; Shar Jackson, women's 10km, 38:49; and Chris Turski, men's 10km, 37:27.

The Hart Half was the second event of the Prince George Roadrunners season. Next on the schedule is The Wild Goose Chase, May 6 in Vanderhoof.
