For the first time ever, Prince George is hosting a junior football game, and at 4 p.m., the Chilliwack Huskers will clash with the Kamloops Broncos in a B.C. Junior Football Conference exhibition game.

Fueled by graduates of the Northern High School Football League, there will be plenty of local content in today's game.

Kamloops will have seven former high school players from the Northern Interior, including Prince George secondary school graduates Mike McMaster, Derek Apps, Brad Paakkonen and Wes Black. Also sporting a Broncos jersey will be Darcy McDonald (D. P. Todd), Sheldon Brown (Nechako Valley - Vanderhoof), and Travis Kent (Correlieu - Quesnel).

Chilliwack will have also have seven local products, including Ryan Gallo (D.P. Todd), Andy Bolen (PGSS) ands five former Kelly Road Roadrunners -- Taylor Cherkas, Nick Wingfield, Brennan Adrian, Tom Bray and Daniel Weisgerber.

Attendance at today's game will be used to gauge the amount of interest the city has in bringing a BCJFC expansion team to Prince George.
