Victoria Royals forward Brandon Magee was named the Denny's WHL Player of the Week on Monday.
Magee was a thorn in the Prince George Cougars' side in their first-round playoff series on the weekend in Victoria where he notched six points (five goals and one assist) to help the Royals take a 2-0 series lead.
Magee, a 21-year-old forward, tallied a hat trick and an assist in Friday's 5-3 victory against Prince George. In Saturday's 5-4 win, he collected a pair of goals, including the game-winner.
He claimed first-star honours in both games.
The B.C. Division semifinal series resumes in Prince George on Wednesday and Thursday for Games 3 and 4 at CN Centre (7 p.m.).
