MacDonald earns bling at Spring Fling

Emily MacDonald had a golden weekend at the Spring Fling. MacDonald, from the Prince George Gymnastics Club, won the all-around title for Level 1 tyro competitors at the meet, held in Kitimat.

MacDonald, from the Prince George Gymnastics Club, won the all-around title for Level 1 tyro competitors at the meet, held in Kitimat. In her individual events, she placed first on the vault, second on the uneven bars and floor exercise and third on the balance beam.

In the Level 1 argo division, P.G. gymnasts Dallyn Long and Kaylee Watt finished third and fourth respectively in the all-around standings. Long was first on the vault and balance beam and placed third on the uneven bars and floor exercise. Watt, meanwhile, had her best showing on the balance beam, where she finished second. She was fourth on the vault and uneven bars and fifth on the floor.

In the Gymstart or non-competitive division, Sydney Hamilton, Rachel Massey and Farrah Normand all participated. Hamilton and Massey were both awarded silver medals for physical ability and gold medals for skills, while Normand took silvers in both categories.
