If you come to the rink Friday to watch the Prince George Spruce Kings take on the Salmon Arm Silverbacks at Kopar Memorial Arena there’s a chance you might leave with the keys to a brand-new $45,000 car.
The Spruce Kings, Brownridge Insurance and Hub City Volkswagen are teaming up for the Shoot To Win promotion and if they draw your entry form from the barrel you’ll get a chance to put a puck through a narrow slot to take ownership of a 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan.
To be eligible, you have to be at least 19 years old and fill out the entry form at the front entrance to the rink.
The draw for the winning contestant will happen 10 minutes into the game and that person will be called to the Spruce Kings office to prepare to take that shot.
“This is going to be such a fun night for us at Kopar Memorial Arena,” said Spruce Kings business operations manager Kyle Anderson. “To have these great partners on board for this promotion, the demand for tickets will only increase as we move forward.”
The Spruce Kings (12-18-3-0, eighth place) trail the Silverbacks (22-9-0-2, third place) by 19 points in BCHL Interior Conference standings.
Friday’s game starts at 7 p.m.
The same teams meet again Saturday (6 p.m.) at Kopar.
That will be preceded at 3:30 p.m., by the second annual Sirens Cup game between the Prince George RCMP and Prince George Fire Rescue.
