Five members of the Prince George bantam female Cougars were a part of the championship winning Team North at the under-16 B.C. Cup, held in Duncan.

Grace Barlow, Sydney Jordan, Kate Arnold, Jordan Shanks and Katie Young all helped Team North to a 5-0 record at the tournament. It was the first time a northern team had ever advanced to the final of the B.C. Cup.

Bantam players are 13 and 14 year olds. In addition to the Prince George players other members of 20-player Team North came from Terrace, Fort St. John and Lone Butte.

The bantam girls from Prince George were the 2012 provincial champions while Terrace claimed the title this year.
