From Prince George to the NHL.
That's the path Brad Lazarowich took as a hockey linesman and he's now a veteran of 28 years in the big league, having officiated more than 2,000 NHL games in a career that spans 28 seasons.
Lazarowich will return to his whistle-blowing origins to share his expertise on calling offsides and breaking up scraps with aspiring young officials as part of the Prince George Spruce Kings Hockey Officials Showcase, Aug. 13-14 at the Coliseum.
The 50-year-old native of Vancouver and former Prince George resident is still active as an NHL linesman and has joined the B.C. Hockey League as its assistant director of officiating.
Anyone interested in the Hockey Officials Showcase can email their name. age, hockey experience and contact information to Lazarowich at [email protected] .
