The Prince George All-West Glass Mustangs were in tough from the beginning at the under 14 C provincial girls minor softball championship in Surrey on the weekend.

The Mustangs finished the tournament at 0-4. Coach Kip Skaar said his team consisted mainly of first-year peewee players (age 11-12) and the purpose of the trip was to gain experience for next year.

"The girls had their eyes opened as to what it will take to play at this level, at times we were able to compete in the games but ultimately just not consistently," said Skaar.

Players on the Mustangs were: Erica Bayes, Emma Robinson, Emily Skaar, Dayna McKenney, Josie Wendling, Mikayla Karp, Madison Pinko, Talia Nahuluk, Shalynn Kreuger, Paige Sawtell, Alysha Ward, Kassidy Flanagan and Kyra Buchan.
