A combination of power and technique made Keiran Leboe almost untouchable at the Jack Brow Memorial.
At the weekend track and field meet in Kelowna, Leboe won gold medals in the hammer throw, javelin and shot put and was awarded a silver in discus. In his 1998 age group, the Prince George Track and Field Club member also legged his way to a bronze medal in the 200-metre run.
The PGTFC sent 30 members to the annual meet and they brought home 28 medals.
Other gold-medal winners were Casidy Campbell (shot put, 2003 girls) and Alexander Nemethy (2,000m run, 1997 boys).
Silvers, meanwhile, went to: Emma Balazs (2,000m steeplechase, 1,500m run); Carlee Campbell (high jump); Duncan Elliot (triple jump); Carly Frenkel (discus, hammer throw); Amanda Heinze (javelin); Josh Hewitt (800m run); Shelby Jansen (200m run, 300m run); Lauren Matheson (100m dash); and Simon Nemethy (1,000m run).
Local bronze medalists were: Balazs (3,000m run); Ryan Gaiesky (100m hurdles, 200m hurdles); Jansen (long jump); Lindsay King (hammer throw); Matheson (200m run); Alexander Nemethy (1,200m run); and Simon Nemethy (high jump, javelin).
Other PGTFC athletes who competed at the Jack Brow were Zachary Matyas, Heidi Winnig, Luke Winnig, Nathan Winnig, Jillian Hepburn, Shauna Hepburn, Natasha Jang, Isaiah Jang, Ekaterina Schulte, Tanner Matheson, Brooklyn Stauffer, Rebeka Kidd, Kirsten Ward, Anika Schroeter, David Schroeter and Sean Gaiesky.
The annual meet featured clubs from BC and Alberta and even attracted a traveling team from Australia.
