With one swing of the club, Mike Larmand increased his net worth by a couple thousand bucks.
During men's day at Yellowhead Grove Golf Course on Wednesday, Larmand aced the first hole and collected $2,062 for his accuracy.
At Yellowhead, men's day golfers have the option of throwing a dollar into the hole-in-one pot. If they do, they become eligible for a payout. Players who have participated a minimum of five times have the chance to win the entire amount, and that's what Larmand did. The hole-in-one was the first of his golfing career.
Larmand was paid in cash, which had been accumulating since the last men's day ace in June of 2010. That year, Jim Hoyer was handed $2,105.
