Ninety athletes from Prince George are competing in 15 sports this week at the 2014 B.C. Winter Games in Mission.
The Games begin Thursday, Feb. 20 and continue until Sunday, Feb. 23, and feature more than 2,200 athletes from across the province in 18 different sports.
The Prince George athletes are competing as part of the Cariboo-North-East zone 8. The zone stretches from Williams Lake in the south, to Fort St. John in the north and includes Prince George, Quesnel, Dawson Creek, Tumbler Ridge, and Chetwynd.
Local athletes are competing in archery, badminton, wheelchair basketball, biathlon, men's and women's curling, figure skating, gymnastics, female hockey, judo, karate, ringette, alpine, cross-country and freestyle skiing, and speed skating.
The athletes will be accompanied by 17 coaches.
