Lamb on hand for Cats' Select-a-Seat event

The way CN Centre is configured, there's a not a bad seat in the house to watch the Prince George Cougars play hockey. Fans can test that theory for themselves today from 4-8 p.m. when the WHL team hosts a Select-a-Seat event.

The way CN Centre is configured, there's a not a bad seat in the house to watch the Prince George Cougars play hockey.

Fans can test that theory for themselves today from 4-8 p.m. when the WHL team hosts a Select-a-Seat event.

The Cougars want to give their season ticket subscribers a chance to move around the rink and sit in different sections before they make their seat selection choices for the coming season.

Today's event will also give fans a chance to grill newly-hired general manager Mark Lamb in a question-and-answer session from 6-6:30 p.m. in the CN Centre concourse next to Section Q.

Lamb served seven seasons as GM and head coach of the Swift Current Broncos before he left in 2016 to become head coach of the AHL Tucson Roadrunners.

The native of Panteix, Sask., is a former centre who played 15 seasons in the NHL with Calgary, Detroit, Edmonton, Ottawa, Philadelphia and Montreal. Lamb played with Gretzky and Company in 1990 when the Oilers won the Stanley Cup.
