Lally, Seehra await Golden Gloves opponents

Jag Seehra has at least five obstacles standing in his way of the 64-kilogram title at the B.C. Golden Gloves boxing championships. There are already five other boxers in his weight class who have the same goal in mind.

Jag Seehra has at least five obstacles standing in his way of the 64-kilogram title at the B.C. Golden Gloves boxing championships. There are already five other boxers in his weight class who have the same goal in mind.

Seehra's Inner City Boxing Club teammate Kenny Lally should be so lucky.

There are no opponents so far entered in the 54kg or 57kg weight classes, his two possible options at the Golden Gloves tournament in Victoria, April 17-18.

Looking for his fifth B.C. Golden Gloves title, Lally can take some comfort in the fact event organizers have sent requests for opponents to Washington state, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and North Dakota.

Lally and Seehra, who last fought at the B.C. Emerald Gloves tournament at the Northern Sport Centre March 13, also plan to compete at the Manitoba Golden Gloves, April 24-25.
