In case you didn't get to watch Lavanna Laass fight her way to a silver medal in judo at the Canada Winter Games, you can watch her quest for gold at the Pacific International tournament live on a computer screen on Saturday.
Laass, an 18-year-old member of the Hart Judo Academy, will be in front of the cameras on ViaSport TV when she competes in the one-day tournament in Richmond, starting at noon Saturday.

Laass, who competes in the under-63 kilogram weight class, is hoping to add to a long list of judo achievements which include her silver medal at the 2014 Canadian nationals, gold at U.S. nationals, bronze at the Quebec Open, and silver at the Ontario Open.
Other Hart Academy judokas entered are: Kimiko Kamstra: U-16 girls, -44 kg; Lorna-Jane Simmons: U16 girls, -57 kg; Grace Northrop: U18 girls, -52 kg; Christopher Cormack: U16 boys, -60 kg; and Kurtis Cormack: U16 boys, -60 kg.
Also competing at the Pacific International tournament are Prince George Judo Club members:
Tami Goto: U14 girls -40 kg; Ryan Russell: U16/U18 boys, -55 kg; Branden Edwards: U16/U18 boys, -60 kg; Kyle Wilkinson: U18 boys, -66 kg; Lisa Russell : U18 girls, -52 kg; and Quinn Clemas:Senior men, -90 kg.
Representing the North Capital Judo Club are: Lochlan Young: U14 boys, -50 kg; Maxwell Young: U-16 boys, -46 kg; and Nicholas Richards: U-16 boys, -66 kg.
Also on the horizon for the local judokas is the Edmonton International , March 14-15.
