The mosquito Prince George Knights won the bronze medal at the B.C. Minor Baseball provincial championship in Cloverdale during the August long weekend. The nine- and-10-year-old all-star players finished first in their pool with three wins and a tie. After tying Newton, the Knights beat West Kelowna, Port Coquitlam and North Delta. After dropping their first playoff game to Abbotsford, the Knights once again beat Port Coquitlam for the third-place finish. The Knights are coached by Murray Lukinchuck, Russ Pratt and Hans Minck.
