The triple-A Prince George LTN Contracting peewee Knights finished fourth at the Valley of Champions tournament in Kelowna on the weekend. Prince George posted a 1-4 record in the triple-A level event, dropping two games, including the bronze-medal game, when the Chilliwack Cougars rebounded from deficits in the late innings. They led the Cougars 5-4 heading to the final inning of the bronze-medal game only to lose 6-5. In round robin action, the Knights blew a 8-3 lead, losing 9-8 to the Cougars. In their other games, the Knights beat Rutland (Kelowna) 3-2 and lost 5-2 to Victoria and 16-5 against Abbotsford. The Knights are now 20-12-2 this season. The Knights will host the tripleA peewee provincial championship Aug. 8-11 at Spruce City Stadium.
