Knezevic's Team B.C. loses opening draw at Scotties

Knezevic and her rink from the Prince George Golf and Curling Club is comprised of third Kristen Fewster, second Jen Rusnell and lead Rhonda Camozzi.

Stephanie Lawton's crew from Saskatoon stole points in the first four ends, with singles in ends 1, 3 and 4 and a deuce in the second end to take a 5-0 lead.

Knezevic got on the board in the fifth end with a single point with the hammer.

Lawton scored a deuce with hammer in the sixth, and both teams traded singles in the seventh and eighth ends before handshakes to end the game.

Lawton's rink includes third Sherry Anderson, second Stephanie Schmidt and lead Marliese Kasner.

After the first draw, Team Canada, Nova Scotia, and Saskatchewan are all tied for first place with 1-0 records.

Quebec, Newfoundland and B.C. are 0-1.

Knezevic and her Team B.C. rink have Saturday night off and battle Lauren Mann and Team Quebec Sunday at 7 a.m. (PST) followed by Jennifer Jones and Team Manitoba at noon (PST).
