The 'Kings won 3-2, thanks to a goal in the final minutes of the third period by Jeremiah Luedtke.

Nicolas Pierog scored a short-handed goal for the Eagles in the first period, while the Eagle's Colton Mackle was in the penalty box for roughing.

Luedtke took an assist from Brent Lashuk to put the 'Kings on the scoreboard in the second period while the powerplay. Mackle took a five-minute major penalty for charging.

Chad Staley put an unassisted goal past Eagle's goalie Devon Fordyce in the third period to give the 'Kings a 2-1 lead.

Nathan Renouf, with help from Jonah Renouf and Brian Drapluk, tied up the game for the Eagles just past the half-way mark in third period.

With two minutes and 36 seconds left in play, Luedtke scored again to give the Spruce Kings a 3-2 lead. Lashuk picked up the assist on the play.

The Eagles pulled Fordyce with 59 seconds left in play, but it wasn't enough to even the score.

The 'Kings went one for five on the powerplay, and were perfect on the penalty kill - preventing the Eagles from capitalizing on three powerplays.

Spruce Kings goalie Alex Murray stopped 20 of 22 shots. For the Eagles, Fordyce stopped 31 of 34 shots.

With the win in Surrey, the Spruce Kings record is 11/7/1/1, while the Eagles stand at 7/11/1/0.

Prince George will continue their road trip tonight with a game against the the Langley Rivermen.
