The Prince George Spruce Kings will begin their 2014-15 post-season on the road.

They've packed up the bus and are headed to Langley for game one of a best-of-seven playoff B.C. Hockey League series against the Rivermen that begins Tuesday.

The two teams will face off again Wednesday in game two and will return to Prince George for games three and four Friday and Saturday at the Coliseum. The series will return to Langley for game five (if necessary) on March 9 and Prince George on March 10 (if necessary). If the series goes to game seven, it's slated for March 11 if necessary.

The Kings finished third in the Mainland Division with a 27-24-1-6 record and 61 points, three points behind second-place Langley who went 29-23-1-5.

By virtue of their finish, the Rivermen receive home-ice advantage.

Both the Rivermen and Kings met Saturday at the Coliseum where Langley doubled the Kings 6-3 to wrap up the regular season.

Marco Ballarin and Matthew Stief scored to give the Kings a 2-0 lead after the first period.

Rivermen forward Matthew Graham narrowed the Kings lead by a goal when he scored at the 1:29 mark of the second period on the man advantage.

Jarryd Leung answered with a power play goal of his own five minutes later to retain the Kings two-goal lead.

The Rivermen then scored five goals in the next 30 minutes as Marcus Vela and Braydon Barker each tallied twice and Hunter Anderson added a single.

Langley outshot Prince George 32-26.

The other Mainland Division playoff series features the first-place Chilliwack Chiefs (37-17-1-3) hosting the fourth-place Coquitlam Express (25-28-1-4) beginning Tuesday.
