The Prince George Spruce Kings continued their preseason audition Wednesday night in 100 Mile House, losing to the Vernon Vipers 3-1
The Spruce Kings were due to travel through the night Wednesday to return to Prince George and have practice ice scheduled for this afternoon at the Coliseum.
The Kings head back down Highway 97 Saturday for a trip to Merritt, where they'll play the Centennials in a rematch of their Sunday preseason game at the Coliseum, which the Cents won 5-2.
The Spruce Kings camp is now down to 24 players.
They'll open the season against the Cowichan Valley Capitals on Saturday, Sept. 7 in Chilliwack, part of the BCHL Showcase Weekend.
