The Prince George Spruce Kings suffered their fourth-straight loss Friday night, this time at the hands of the Trail Smoke Eaters.

The Smoke Eaters scored three goals in each of the second and third periods en route to a 7-3 victory over the visiting Kings.

The Spruce Kings are now 1-7-0-1 and remain in last place in the B.C. Hockey League's Mainland Division.

The first period was all knotted at 1-1 thanks to a goal from Kings forward Adam Brubacher and Cooper Sande of the Smoke Eaters.

Trail took a 4-1 lead into the third period and scored three more times in the final frame. Kyle Johnson and Corey Hoffman answered for the Kings.

Prince George's Thanksgiving road trip doesn't get much easier.

The Kings are in Vernon tonight to face the Vipers and wrap it Sunday against the Salmon Arm Silverbacks.
