The Wenatchee Wild picked up right where they left off, and that wasn't good for the Prince George Spruce Kings.

Charlie Combs scored two goals and five of his teammates also scored as the Wild steamrolled the Spruce Kings 7-3 Friday at Rolling Mix Concrete Arena.

That came two days after the Wild began their second B.C. Hockey League season with a 5-1 victory in Prince George over the Kings.

Brian Williams, Dakota Raabe, Jimmy O'Brien, Jasper Weatherby and Mathew Baker also found the net for Wenatchee (2-0-0). Chong Lee scored twice for the Spruce Kings (0-3-1) and Tanner Campbell collected his first goal of the season. Kings centre Kyle Johnson finished with two assists.

The Wild led 3-1 after one period and 6-2 after two. The visitors outshot the Kings 43-18.

Garrett Nieto earned his second-straight win in net for the Wild, making 15 saves. Stefan Wornig took the loss in goals for Prince George. He stopped nine of 13 shots and was replaced by Liam McCloskey, who came in 57 seconds into the second period, right after Baker scored to make it a 4-1 game.

Wenatchee ended up 1-for-6 on the power play, while the Spruce Kings went 1-for-5 with the man advantage.

The same teams meet again at RMC tonight at 7 p.m.
