Four members, judokas, from the North Capital Judo Club were in Edmonton March 30 to April 1 taking part in the International Judo Championship at West Edmonton Mall.
Brandon Slooyer returned home with a gold medal in the under-17 men, -73-kilogram category and Connor Slooyer took the silver medal in the under-15, -46-kilogram division.
The other two North Capital athletes to travel to Edmonton were Nathan Gauthier, who posted one win, one tie and two losses in the under-11 boys, -25-kilogram division and Braden Reed, who lost both his matches in the under-13, -46-kilogram boys division.
