The long road to Swift Current, Sask., was not kind to the Prince George IDL Midget Knights. They lost their opening game 14-5 to the Lloydminster (Sask.) Twins at the five-team Western Canadian midget double-A baseball championship.

No details of the game were available at press time.

Other teams in the Western Canadians include the host Swift Current Indians, the Manitoba rep Brandon Knights of Manitoba, Bonnyville Braves (Alberta) and the host Swift Current Indians.

The Knights, repeat winners of the B.C. championship, went 1-3 last year at the Western Canadian playoffs.
